An Example Project

The Cyber, Defence and Security Academy in Western and South Australia is dedicated to training and up-skilling Indigenous youth, preparing them for roles in EON and the wider fields of defence, security, and cyber protection across Aboriginal and mainstream industries. The initiative seeks to secure government and industry backing for a combined approach to offer better pathways for Indigenous youth, steering them clear of incarceration and encouraging school completion.

Our Focus Areas

  • Ensuring education is available to all communities – providing high standard of education.

  • Ensuring open access to education.

  • Funding relevant educational programs, i.e. vocational, agricultural, etc.

  • Pathways for educational opportunities at all levels of education, i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary.

  • Providing the community with prizes and scholarships.

  • Providing education in core life skills and all aspects of healthy living – remote, regional and indigenous communities.

  • Providing all relevant infrastructure, connectivity, computers, classrooms, buildings.

  • Tele-education.

  • Scholarships – at all levels, i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary.
